Our organization is going through a restructuring process of names – we have brought together all of our international, student and community work under one name: Justicia Global.
We were born in the year 2000 under the name Escuela de Formación Socioeconómica y Cultural. We saw as necessities academic development, study and creativity organization of people in creating a social transformation project.
We created different groups with different methodologies to work with and organize distinct sectors of the population. In our first five years, we developed the following groups:

Equipo de Salud Dr. Ernesto Guevara de la Serna (Health Team)
Space for students and professionals in the health field, for the development of techniques in preventative and natural medicines.

Movimiento Sin Aula (MSA) - Beyond-the-Classroom Movement
Organization of high school and university students based in investigation, study and cultural development. Justicia Global was formed as the international component of the MSA.

Perla (Wholeness, hope, wealth, liberty and love)
Space for women for the strengthening of our capacities in self-esteem, leadership and empowerment.

La Trinitaria
Community-based component of La Escuela, made up of:
SUCRE (United Society for Recreation and Cultural Learning): working group with children.
Exploradores y Exploradoras:
working group with preadolescents, going on excursions and learning about the environment.

Juventud Duartiana:
working group with community teens.

GECCO
(Community Groups for Collective Efficiency):
working group with families, with commissions in education, collective purchasing and health.

Through these working groups we have been able to reach various sectors of the population, meeting them where they are according to their reality and their interests. We developed dynamics and methods appropriate for the diverse groups with which we worked.
Nevertheless, due to the importance of helping people identify with this diversity of work all under the umbrella of the same organization, we have decided to bring together all of our community, student and international working groups under the name Justicia Global [Global Justice].
Justicia Global is our name, our slogan, and our vision. We took this name from a speech by Ernesto Ché Guevara, a man for whom we have great respect. Guevara said: "Let me say, at risk of appearing ridiculous, that the true revolutionary is guided by great feelings of love."
Therefore, while maintaining our diversity of working areas as before, we will henceforth be known solely as Justicia Global.
Our two sister organizations, Perla y la Escuela de Formación Socioeconómica y Cultural, will remain intact. The former will continue to be a space for women and the latter a space for deeper academic enrichment for the members of Justicia Global and Perla.
